Questions & answers

Frequently asked

Which format gives the best compression?

WebP typically achieves the best compression-to-quality ratio. JPEG is the most compatible. PNG is lossless by default but can be quantised for smaller files.

Will the compressed image look different?

At quality 80% or above, differences are invisible to the naked eye. Significant compression artifacts appear below 60%.
